Romero was born Sept. 11, 1945, in Costa Rica. She moved to the United States in 1969.
Romero is survived by her husband, C.G. Romero of Norwalk; children, Andre Romero of Norwalk, Mary Beth Romero of Norwalk and Martha Santamaria (Alex) of Norwalk; sisters, Sandra Nikas of Greenwich and Marixa Barrintos of Costa Rica; brothers, Fernando Arias of Costa Rica and Bautista Arias of Costa Rica; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Duvillia Arias Villalobos; brother, Amadore Arias; and sister Carmen Arias all of Costa Rica.
Calling hours are Monday, Dec. 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Friends and family will gather for a religious service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at St. Joseph Parish, 85 South Main St., Norwalk. Burial will take place in Costa Rica.
