Jon D. St.Clair, 71, Of Norwalk, Worked At AmeriCares

NORWALK, Conn. - Jon D. St.Clair of Norwalk died Saturday, April 27. He was 71.

St.Clair was born March 16, 1942, in Quaker City, Ohio, son of Willard R. (Pete) and Ruth Potts St.Clair.  He was raised in Cambridge, Ohio.

St.Clair moved to Washington DC in 1960 and was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and served in Army Intelligence during the Vietnam War era. He began his career in Human Resources at Ford Motors in Chicago in 1966 and subsequently served as either director/vice president /senior vice president of Human Resources for many major corporations such as South Bend Lathe, American Motors,  Zep Manufacturing, Circon Corporation and Stauffer Chemical.  He retired in 2008 as senior vice president of Human Resources for AmeriCares,

St.Clair is survived by his wife, Ellen Robbins; daughters, Jennifer St.Clair Gunter of Lees Summit, Mo., Amey St. Clair of Wallingford; brother, David (Bea) St.Clair of Highland, Calif.; brother-in-law, Steve (Karin) Robbins, of So. Burlington, Vt.; two grandsons; nieces and nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents: and sister, Patricia St.Clair Jefferis of Cambridge, Ohio.

Services will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in St.Clair‘s memory to the Norwalk Hospital Foundation, 37 Maple St., Norwalk.
