NORWALK, Conn. -- John J. Saviano, 62, of Norwalk, husband of the late Marlene (Calitri) Saviano, passed away unexpectedly Thursday May 26, 2016.
Saviano was born Feb. 27, 1954, in Norwalk, the son of Hazel (Lewis) Saviano and the late John J. Saviano.
He was a 1973 graduate of Staples High School in Westport and worked for many years as a groundskeeper at Stauffer Chemical. He was a lover of nature.
In addition to his mother, Hazel, he is survived by three sisters, Marie Saviano Richards and her husband Robert, Melinda Saviano Bonin and her husband Glen, and Cheryl Saviano Petrone and her husband Thomas; sister in-law, Debra S. Saviano; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In addition to his father, he was pre deceased by his brother, Lawrence S. Saviano.
The Saviano family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport. Friends are invited to attend the funeral at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Ave., Westport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private.
