NORWALK, Conn. -- John J. Patchen of Norwalk, died on Friday, Dec. 18 at the age of 78.
He was the husband of Marie (Antoinette) Passarelli Patchen for 56 years.
He was born in Norwalk on Jan. 16, 1937, the son of the late James J. Patchen, Sr. and Elvira Tuozzola Patchen, and has lived there all of his life.
He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep, class of 1955, and Fairfield University, class of 1959. He was a self-employed independent Title Examiner.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Joseph J. Patchen of Milford and Donna M. Patchen of Norwalk; his brother James Patchen and his wife Sherry of Southbury; his sister Shirley Taylor of Fairfield and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 10 a.m. at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlon Pl., Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery. His family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
