John E. Krysiuk, Sr., 92, Of Norwalk, WWII Veteran, Owned Krysiuk Brothers

NORWALK, Conn. - John E. Krysiuk, Sr. of Norwalk died Wednesday, May 29. He was 92.

Krysiuk was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Georgetown, son of John E. Krysiuk and Katherine Lewisky Krysiuk Gunner. He worked for many years as a mason with Deering Construction and as owner of Krysiuk Brothers. He attended local schools and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Pastime Club, the Strawberry Hill Athletic Association., and played baseball and football for various local teams.

Krysiuk is survived by children, Katherine Fitzgerald (David) of Tenn., Carol Kaplan (Howard) of Norwalk, John Krysiuk, Jr. (Lori), Frank Krysiuk (Judy) all of Norwalk, Mark Krysiuk (Ann) of Tenn.; seven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Rose Spinola Krysiuk; brother, Frank Krysiuk; and sisters, Josephine Shimko and Ann Gray.

There are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1 meeting directly at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
