Janet M. Luddy, 86, Longtime Norwalk Resident

NORWALK, Conn. - Janet M. Luddy, a longtime resident of Norwalk, died July 17. She was 86.

Luddy was born June 22, 1927, in Watertown, to Lucius W. Snyder and Pearl M. Brower. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1945 and went on to get her associates degree from Vermont Junior College in 1947. She was a homemaker for much of her life, working later in the cafeteria at Cranbury Elementary School.

Luddy is survived by her son, Bruce Luddy (Jean) of Vernon; daughters, Karen Arntsen (David) of Cheshire, Beth Luddy of Newtown, and Pamela Luddy of Bethel; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald F. Luddy; and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 23 at 10 a.m. in the chapel on the grounds of Evergreen Cemetery, 183 North St., Watertown.
