NORWALK, Conn. - James R. Franklino, 94, of Norwalk, died Thursday, April 9.

He was born July 24, 1920, in Norwalk, to the late Dominick and Lucy Avallone Franklino.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Franklino worked for Yankee Metal Corp. for more than 50 years and operated his own landscaping business after retirement.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Salvatore) Chieffalo of Norwalk; one son, Jeffrey Franklino of Norwalk; one sister, Bertha Franklino of Norwalk; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His wife, Madeline Troiano Franklino, is deceased.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk.

Burial with military honors will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.

There will be no calling hours.

Magner Funeral Home, Norwalk, is handling the arrangements.
