James K. Bell, 59, Of Norwalk, Owned J2 Licensing

NORWALK, Conn. - James Keith Bell of Norwalk died Sunday, Oct. 5. He was 59.

Bell was born March 12, 1955, in Cincinnati, to Clinton Collins Bell and Betty Mae Winkle Bell. He was a managing member of his own company, J2 Licensing, and also worked as an emergency dispatcher for the New Canaan Alarm Co. He previously worked as a licensing agent for companies such as Galaxy Brands, Fog Studios, WWE, Rabbit Ears, New Jersey Devils and Jim Henson Productions.

Bell is survived by his father, Clinton; daughter, Samantha Bell, and former wife, Kathryn O'Rourke, both of Norwalk; and brother, Michael Dehman, and sister, Janice Schooley, both of Ohio. He was predeceased by his mother, Betty Mae.

A memorial service will be held in the spring with information to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bell’s memory to the Ridgefield Golf Course Improvement Fund or the Portuguese Water Dog Fund.
