BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Jack McAdoo Jr. of Bridgeport died Friday, Oct 4. He was 67.
McAdoo was the son of Jack McAdoo Sr. and Gertrude Beasley. He was born and raised in Mebane, N.C., before moving to Stamford and finally to Bridgeport where he lived for the last 36 years. He worked for F.A.F. in Norwalk for 35 years as well as Wackenhut Security where he was stationed at GE Capital in Stamford for a number of years.
McAdoo is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Johnson) McAdoo; son, Jack McAdoo III; daughter-in-law, Johanne McAdoo; three grandsons; a granddaughter; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Ella Clemons, Dorothy Atkinson, Arnold and Delores Locke, Juanita Kidd, Gary and Sylvia Jarmon, Mack and Rosa Reed and Henry Johnson Jr. all of Greenville, N.C. He was predeceased by his parents.
A celebration of McAdoo’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield Ave, Bridgeport.
