Helen Vavrek, 92, Formerly Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Helen E. Vavrek, formerly of Norwalk, died Oct. 17 at Masonicare at Newtown. She was 92. 

Born Sept. 18, 1920, she was the daughter of Stephen and Barbara Varnay Vavrek. She is survived by a brother, Joseph Vavrek, of Miami; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, James and Stephen Vavrek; and a sister, Sister Mary Vavrek. 

A memorial Mass was celebrated Wednesday at St. Ladislaus Church in Norwalk. Burial followed at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk. Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk handled arrangements.
