NORWALK, Conn. - Helen Rubino Porto of Norwalk, formerly of Catskill, N.Y., died Monday, May 13. She was 88.
Porto was born June 19, 1924, in Norwalk, daughter of Dominick and Lucille Hoyt Fiore.
Porto is survived by daughters, Jamie Sweet (David) of Bridgeport, and Linda Barbera of Branford; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husbands, James V. Rubino and Thomas Porto; brother, Robert Fiore; and sisters, Ida Jane Hoyt and Florence Wendryski.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, in the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Porto’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
