NORWALK, Conn. - Helen Norman Cahill of Norwalk died Tuesday, Oct. 1. She was 88.
Cahill was born March 26, 1925, in Norwalk, daughter of Walter and Blanche Hemsley Norman. She was a lifelong city resident. Cahill was a Norwalk High School graduate of the Class of 1942 and worked in several retail stores in the area, including Harold K. Sheaff Jewelers.
Cahill is survived by her husband, Lawrence Cahill; daughter; Kathleen Criado (Juan) of Norwalk; two granddaughters; sister, Kathleen Badarick of Stamford; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and three siblings.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 4, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Oct. 5, at 10 a.m. in St. Jerome Parish, 23 Half Mile Road. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.
