Helen A. Cioffi, 99, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Helen A. Cioffi, 99, a lifelong resident of Norwalk, died Sunday, May 3.

She was the wife of Sheriff Samuel N. Cioffi.

She was born in Norwalk on Aug. 5, 1915, the daughter of Rocco and Maria Turro Basile. She loved to cook and was devoted to her family.

She is survived by her two sons, retired Judge Nicholas A. Cioffi and his wife, Arline, of Norwalk; and Samuel A. Cioffi and his wife, Dee, of Redmond, Ore.; a daughter Ann Marie Cioffi of Sandy Hook; and a sister, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband and her parents. 

Her family will receive friends Thursday, May 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
