NORWALK, Conn. – Hazel N. Macy of Norwalk died Oct. 21 at Wilton Meadows Rehab and Health Care Center. She was 94.
Born in Bronx, N.Y., she was the daughter of Jeremiah and Anna Monak Neumetz. She was married to Ralph G. Macy Jr., who predeceased her. Macy attended Hunter College and worked as a bookkeeper for Charleson Publishing.
She also volunteered at the Treasure House, Norwalk Hospital and Lockwood-Mathews Mansion. She was a member of the Norwalk Garden Club and a longtime member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter F. Macy lived at Wilton Meadows for more than five years, and her family thanks the staff for the care she received there.
Macy is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Standerwick, of Norwalk; a sister, Alice McIntosh, of Manchester, N.J.; and a nephew. She was predeceased by a son, David S. Macy; and a sister, Eileen Armengol.
