NORWALK, Conn. – Gertrude H. Kruger of Norwalk died Oct. 7 at home. She was 77.
Born Dec. 16, 1934, in Norwalk, Kruger was the daughter of Anthony and Helen Bacho Soltes. She was a lifelong Norwalk resident and was married to Henry “Dutch” Kruger.
She is survived by her husband, Henry; three sons, Thomas (Elke) Kruger, of Norwalk, Timothy (Cher) Kruger, of Sarasota, Fla., and Keith (Regina) Kruger, of Stamford; a sister, Florence Dorta, of Norwalk; a brother, Louis Soltes Sr., of Norwalk; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Soltes.
A wake will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ladislaus Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
