NORWALK, Conn. - George H. Bruni, of Norwalk, died March 15. He was 77.
Bruni was born April 1, 1936, in the Bronx, N.Y., son of Silvio and Theresa Bruni. As a young man, he joined the U.S. Navy to see the world, traveling to California (Oakland and San Diego) and as far away as Japan.
After completing his tour in the Navy, he married and moved with his family to Norwalk, Conn. Bruni was a retired employee of Norwalk Hospital where he worked for almost 30 years.
Bruni is survived by his wife, Nydia; sons, Gary J. Bruni (Annette), Brian R. Bruni and David J. Bruni; two grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
There are no visiting hours. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March, 21, 10 a.m. at St Mathews Church. 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk with burial to follow at St Johns cemetery.
