NORWALK, Conn. – Frankie L. Shimko, 78, of Norwalk, died Saturday, Aug. 1.
Born in Phoenix, she was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford, Connecticut. She worked in numerous clerical positions until her retirement 16 years ago.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret A. Suddarth; husband, Steven Shimko; son, Steven M. Shimko; a sister; a niece; and extended family, aunts, cousins and in-laws.
Her family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 6 from 5-8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, Aug. 7 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 85 S. Main St., Norwalk. Burial will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
