NORWALK, Conn. – Flossie H. Jackson, 78, wife of Alfred C. Jackson Sr., died Saturday, Aug. 22 at Norwalk Hospital.
Born Aug. 15, 1937, in Unity, N.H, she was the daughter of Harold I. and Lucille Burke Fenton Thompson.
Jackson lived in many towns where her father worked on farms. They settled in Norwalk, where she graduated from Norwalk High School and was a Norwalk resident for over 60 years. She worked as personal caregiver and was socially active at the Norwalk Senior Center.
In addition to her husband Alfred, she is survived by her son, Alfred C. Jackson Jr., and two brothers and two sisters-in-law.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Mildred Jackson, and one brother and one sister.
Friends may call Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Easton.
Donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
