SOUTHBURY, Conn. - Florence R. Smith of Southbury died Sunday, Nov. 10. She was 89.
Smith was born May 18, 1924, in Lynn, Mass., daughter of Julian and Pearl (Wilson ) Reed. She was a graduate of Roger Ludlow High School and had worked for more than 30 years at the Perkin Elmer Corporation of Norwalk. She had been a past member of the First Congregational Church of Danbury, Rebecca Lodge and the Kyota Council.
Smith is survived by her daughter, Doris Moses of Southbury; son, Paul Smith (Nancy) of Newtown; sister, Phyllis Antonini of Milford; two grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Raymond Smith; sister, Hazel Towne; and brothers, Charles and Henry Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
