Everett H. Palmer, 97, Lifelong Norwalk Resident, WWII Veteran, CPA

NORWALK, Conn. - Everett H. Palmer of Norwalk died Sept. 26. He was 97.

Palmer was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Norwalk, to Stella and Wallace Palmer and was a lifelong Norwalk resident. He graduated from the University of Bridgeport and was a CPA in the Norwalk area till the age of 87. He was active in his church.

Palmer is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters, Carolyn Donohue-Ulman (Bob), Penny Palmer and Gail Stone; sister, Dorothy Prybylski; brother, Dick Palmer (Louise); 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Evelyn Kydes; brothers, Leonard and Bud Palmer; and son-in-law, Woody Schempp.

Calling hours are Monday, Sept. 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Funeral Services officiated by Rev. Oscar Destruge will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30 at the First Congregational Church on the Green, Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow at Willowbrook Cemetery Westport.
