Moretti was born Nov. 24, 1941, and raised in Norwalk, son of Enrico and Agnes (Mosca) Moretti. He graduated from Norwalk High School and then attended business school. He was the owner and operator of Moretti Building and Remodeling.
Moretti is survived by his friend and life partner, Terry Mercede; former wife, Julie Moretti; daughters, Dawn (Michael) Milazzo and Hope (Anthony) Biasetti; sister, Augustina Grater; and nine grandchildren and many friends and family members. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Nick, Vincent and Anthony; and sisters, Josephine and Philomena.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, Feb. 6, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, 121 Main St., Danbury. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
