NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Eleanor H. O’Sheske died Monday, Feb. 1. She was 95.
Born in Laconia, N.H., O’Sheske worked at Norwalk Hospital for over 20 years as a nurse and supervisor. She was active with her church community, whether helping with blood pressure screenings or in the soup kitchen.
She is survived by her son, Chester J. O’Sheske and his wife Bernadine of Yonkers, N.Y.; granddaughters Donna Mueller and Michelle Rashkin; great-grandchildren Jack, Sean, Shane Mueller, Julia and Matthew Rashkin; sisters Marion Hall and Emma Tillotson; and several nieces and nephews.
O’Sheske was predeceased by her husband, Bernard O’Sheske; and her parents, David and Ruth (Flint) Hamilton.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk. Magner Funeral Home, in Norwalk, assisted with arrangements.
