Postic was born Aug. 21, 1923, in Bridgeport, to Mary and Simeon Zastenchik. She grew up and lived most of her life in Bridgeport and was a Harding High School graduate. Before retiring, she worked for many years at General Electric. She was a member of Holy Ghost Church.
Postic is survived by her daughters, Daria (Ploski) Slavin (James) of Naugatuck, and Carol Kirkman (William) of Milford; two grandchildren; sister, Anne Martin of Calif.; sisters-in-law, Caroline Sharon, and Kate Smitreski of Pa.; and many cousins; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, Stephen J. Postic.
Calling hours are Thursday, Nov. 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. Panachida at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 11:15 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church for a Requiem Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Postic's memory to Holy Ghost Church, 1510 East Main St., Bridgeport.
