NORWALK, Conn. - Dorothy “Dottie” MacDonald of Norwalk died Saturday, March 22. She was 91.
MacDonald was born Aug. 20, 1922, in Norwalk Hospital, she was the daughter of Edward G. and Pauline M. Panchison. She attended Norwalk schools and graduated High School in Orlando, Fla. She served in the U.S. Navy (WAVES) from 1944 to 46. She later worked for 31 years as a civilian at Homestead Air Force base in Florida as a secretary. In her retirement years, she returned to Connecticut, living in Danbury as well as Norwalk.
MacDonald is survived by her son, James MacDonald (Kerry O’Neill) of Norwalk; three grandchildren; and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours are Saturday, March 29 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Burial will be private at a later date.
