NORWALK, Conn. - Dorothea Diamantis Kokias, longtime resident of Norwalk, died June 3. She was 88.
Dorothea Kokias was born Dorothea Diamantis in Teriachi, Pogoniou, Greece, daughter of George Diamantis and Ourania Pappas Diamantis.
Kokias is survived by her daughter, Maria Kokias; son, Peter Kokias (Maggie); two grandchildren; brothers, Ioannis Diamantis (Alexandra) and Vasilios Diamantis (Panigiota); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stelianos Kokias; daughter, Eugenia; and sister, Vasiliki Fotinopoulos.
Calling hours are Thursday, June 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 7 at the Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk. Interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
