Domenick Boccuzzi, 68, Norwalk Vietnam Veteran

NORWALK, Conn. – Domenick Boccuzzi of Norwalk died Jan. 21 at his home. He was 68.

He was born April 23, 1944, in San Mango Sul Calore, Italy to Angelo and Modestina Villani Boccuzzi. He graduated from Stamford High School in 1964 and served in the Army for two years in Vietnam. He worked as a carpenter with Local 210 until his retirement in 2006.

Boccuzzi is survived by his wife of 40 years, Betty Yanov Boccuzzi, of Norwalk; three daughters, Lisa (Mark) Sinise, of Trumbull, Frances (Cory) Genetski, of Oxford, Conn., and Cynthia (Russell) Lancey, of New York; a brother, Rocco, of Florida; four sisters, Gatania, Marie and Giselda, of Stamford, and Gabrilla, of Rome; and two grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Antonio and Teodoro.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Jerome Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.
