NORWALK, Conn. -- Dieudonne Yvonne Desprinvil, of Norwalk, died on Thursday, Jan. 8, at Norwalk Hospital. She was 90.
She was born on July 9, 1924, in Petionville, Haiti. She came to the United States in March 1972, lived in Brooklyn for a couple of years then moved to Norwalk.
She is survived by her three sons Tigmann Pierre-Charles of Norwalk, Donald Pierre-Charles of Bridgeport and Edner Pierre-Charles of Norwalk and three daughters Solange Yolande Desprinvil of Norwalk, Solange Loiseau of Brooklyn and Sonia Desprinvil of New Haven.
She is survived also by 21 grandchildren Yolene, Ruth, Tasha, Sabine, Ketly, Yanick, Roody, Standley, Randolph, Gethro, Ralph, Ronald, Vladimir, Jeffrey, David, Riccardel, Ryan, Adlers, Jason, Sanon, Malcolm; 22 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren Nephew Yves and Joachin Dossous; nieces Marie-Michelle Nicholas, Evelyne Dufrene, Estella Rene, Marie-Louisimene Napoleon; daughters-in-law Jeannie Pierre-Charles, Carmelie Pierre-Charles, Chantal Edward; son-in-law Saul Gedeon and adopted son Henry Cadet.
She was predeceased by her daughters Gladys Denaro and Yolette Pierre-Charles; sisters Regina Desprinvil, Elmise Desprinvil, Sylvia Desprinvil, Germaine Jean-Paul, Louise Dossous, Vierge Rene, Vilbrin Desprinvil and Brice Desprinvil and nephew Jean-Claude Rene.
She also was predeceased by sons-in-law Ferrer Loiseau and Pierre Meant.
Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 16, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. To leave condolences, visit www.collins-funeral.com.
