Brown was born in Wilmington, N.C., on Sept. 6, 1960, daughter of Walter and Clara Brown. She lived in and around Norwalk for the past 29 years. She studied at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and worked for Technoserve, Inc. as director of Donor Relations.
Brown is survived by her husband, Russell; daughter, Nicole E. Williams; sister, Brenda Brown (Eddie); brothers, Walter, Jr. (Berdia), Tony, Larry (Mary), Carleton (Pam), and Barry (Jana) Brown; in-laws, Dolly (Israel) Powell, Leonard (Tisher) Williams, Rosina (Paul) Lawrence, and Ruth Williams; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Sunday, April 7, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 8, 12 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Community Church, 304 Elm St., Holyoke, Mass. The family will receive friends at church from 11 a.m. until services begin. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay St., Springfield, Mass.
