Daniel was born in Norwalk, attended Brien McMahon High School and furthered his studies at Norwalk State Technical College. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1970 and served his country as a telecommunications specialist. Fondly known as “Dan, the T-Shirt Man,” he owned and operated Shirt Graphics in Fairfield for 39 years, operating exclusively by personal referral. Dan took great joy in vocal ministry through the Men’s Quartet and Choral Ensemble. He also mentored a “Divorce Care” class for four years.
He is survived by his father, Ernest Hornyak, and his wife, Linda, as well as his sister, his brother, five nieces, three nephews, several close friends and many brothers and sisters in Christ. He was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa Hornyak.
A memorial service will be held noon on Sunday, Jan. 25 at Trinity Baptist Church, 300 N. Benson Road in Fairfield. Interment will be private.
