He was born April 15, 1953, in Greece, and came to the U.S. in 1975, where he worked as a cook. He was later partners in several food businesses and was a chef.
Survivors include his wife, Effie Apazidis; his mother, Anatoli Apazidis; his children, Anatolia Tsilfides (Jimmy); George Apazidis (Athena); John Apazidis; two siblings; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is Friday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road, Norwalk. A funeral service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Norwalk.
