Somers was born to Judith Mocciola Somers and David W. Somers, Sr., he was a lifelong Norwalk resident. He graduated from Central Catholic in 1981 and received his B.S. in business from Western New England University in 1985. He then earned his Master’s degree in finance at Sacred Heart University. He worked in various corporate finance positions in his career including Xerox and General Electric.
Somers is survived by his mother, Judith; brother, David W. Somers, Jr.; sisters, Amy (James) DePasquale, and Beth (Anthony) Malizia; paternal grandmother, Mary Marino; a nephew and niece; many aunts, uncles; and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, David.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
