Charles W. Falzone, Sr., 88, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Charles W. Falzone Sr., 88, of Norwalk died Friday, May 22.

He was the husband of Anita Pugliuso Falzone.

Falzone was born Nov. 17, 1926, in Waltham, Mass., the son of Carmello and Salvatrice “Tillie” Galluzzo Falzone. He lived in the Norwalk area for most of his life.

He worked at Buck Scientific, where he was in charge of the purchasing department. He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He was an avid reader, liked to shop and loved spending as much time as he could with his family.

In addition to his wife, Anita, he is survived by a son, Paul Falzone (Julie) of Norwalk; daughters Christine Bach (Bill) of San Dimas, Calif., Debbie Shea (Dennis) of Monroe, and Maryellen Mangone (Tony) of Ridgefield; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sons, David A. and Charles W. Falzone Jr.; and his parents. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 27, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Philip Church, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
