Catherine P. Reda, 94, Former Longtime Norwalk Resident

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - Catherine P. Reda of West Haven, a former longtime Norwalk resident, died Friday, Nov. 1. She was 94.

Reda was born Oct. 3, 1919, in Norwalk, daughter of Joseph and Anna DiGirolama Piccione. She worked for several years at Zell Products and then at the Union Trust Co. Operations Center, where she was a supervisor.

She was a member of the Columbiettes, the Notre Dame High School Alumni Mothers, the Bradley Point Garden Club and the Rosarian Guild at St. Joseph’s Church in Norwalk.

Reda is survived by her son, Louis Reda (Lisa) of Wilton; daughters Mary-Ann Flynn (Dennis) of West Haven and Cathy L. Cardillo of Bethel; and eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Louis Reda; brothers, Paul and Peter Piccione; and son-in-law, Tom Cardillo.

Calling hours are Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 85 S. Main St., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
