Carrie Gloria Jean Stroman, 66, Of Norwalk, Retired Cassena Care Employee

NORWALK, Conn. - Carrie Gloria Jean Stroman of Norwalk died Friday, Oct. 10. She was 66.

Stroman was born Oct. 7, 1948, in Elloree, S.C., to David Stroman and Sarah Sellers. She was a lifelong resident of Norwalk and retired from Cassena Care (formerly Fairfield Manor), as a staff coordinator from 1978 to 2010.

Stroman is survived by her daughter, Teresa Stroman; two grandchildren; brothers, Bennie Lee Booth (Annie) of Hemingway, S.C., and Jonathan Stroman of Norwalk; sisters, Leatha Sumpter (Cleveland) of Cameron, S.C., Shirley Ann and Joeann Stroman of Norwalk; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; three great-great nephews; and a great-great niece; and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, William Felder, David Stroman, Jr. and Johnny “Red” Sellers.

Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 17 from 9 a.m. until time of service. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 96 S Main St., Norwalk, CT 06854. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
