Cooper was born in Malden, Mass., daughter of Hyman and Lillian Goldman, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a bachelor’s degree in education. She was a member of Congregation Beth El, sisterhood president and the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.
Cooper is survived by her husband, George Cooper; children, Russell Cooper (Randi), Julie Meckley (Stephen); eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents.
Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 1:30 p.m. in the Congregation Beth El, 109 East Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in Beth El Memorial Park, Richards Ave., Norwalk.
