Caridad Mendoza Afable, 75, Of Norwalk, Worked As A Banking Accountant/CPA

NORWALK, Conn. - Caridad "Baby" Mendoza Afable of Norwalk died Friday, Sept. 5. She was 75.

Afable was born in Dalaguete, Cebu, Philippines and raised in Tubigon, Bohol, to Jaime and Eugenia Rubi-Mendoza. She worked as a banking accountant/CPA.

Afable is survived by her sons, Gary Louis Afable (Evelyn Sanchez), Gene Louis Afable (Rosemarie Hernandez) and George Louis Afable; five grandchildren; and brother, “Boots” Mendoza. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Guillermo M. Afable; brother, Ronnie; and sisters, Darling and Linda.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 at St. Philip Church, 1 Fr. Conlin Pl, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
