The son of Giuseppe and Carmela Pelle, he worked at the SWANK Factory in Norwalk for more than 20 years.
He enjoyed making homemade wine, sausages, and hot peppers and growing a vegetable garden.
Pelle is survived by his wife Maria Pelle; two sons Nicola Pelle (Deanna) and Salvatore Pelle; four grandchildren Elizabeth, Nicole, Sofia and Salvatore Jr; his brother and sister Emma and Pietro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Rose; and his son Giuseppe.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Norwalk Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 E. Wall St.
A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Oct. 1 at St. Matthews Church. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Mausoleum, Norwalk.
