WEAVERVILLE, N.C. - Bettye I. Ermark Gallagher, of Weaverville, formerly of Norwalk, Conn., died Monday, April 1. She was 93.
Gallagher was born Jan. 6, 1920, in Westport, Conn., to Alexander and Gladys Ermark. After her marriage she soon moved her family to Norwalk where she spent most of her life. She most recently moved to North Carolina where she spent the last several years. She was a communicant at St. Mary's Church in Norwalk.
Gallagher is survived by her sons, David Gallagher (Georgianne) (Jan), of Shelton, Conn., and Daniel Gallagher (Ruth), of Hot Springs, N.C.; her nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Arena; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Francis (Red) Gallagher; son, Thomas Gallagher; daughter, Suzanne St. James; and daughter-in-law, Jackie Gallagher.
A private service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 28.
