NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Betty K. Domis died Tuesday, Jan. 12. She was 78.
Born in Brooklyn, Domis attended the University of Connecticut, worked as a design drafter and more recently was a clerk at the Norwalk Public Library. She was very athletic throughout her life, as a college sprinter, state softball champion, tennis player, avid skier and speed skater.
Domis loved her cats, the outdoors and boating, enjoying many years on Long Island Sound. She also loved opera.
She was the companion of Janet Orban for more than 47 years, and was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret (Krieg) Domis.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at the chapel at Notre Dame Convalescent Home, 76 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, with graveside services to follow at Riverside Cemetery at a date and time to be announced. Magner Funeral Home in Norwalk is assisting with arrangements.
