Born June 13, 1934, in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Catherine Mason Lowndes.
Bossone was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. She graduated from Norwalk High School and worked for the Bundy Corporation, where she was employed for more than 20 years.
After her retirement, she donated her time to the local AARP Chapter for a number of years.
Bossone is survived by her children, Marc and his wife Renee of Milford, Christopher “Skip” and his wife Eileen of Fairfield, and Karen Geitz of Greenwich. She also is survived by four grandchildren Scott, Christopher, Bobby and Steven and by her great granddaughter Isabella.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brother Edward Lowndes and her sister Catherine Cotaling.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
