Johnson was born to Walter Boyle and Helen (Davis) Boyle, in Stamford, Conn., and grew up in the Norwalk, Conn. area prior to relocating to the Tampa Bay area of Florida. She was in military service (USNR). She worked many years fundraising for the Vietnam Veterans.
Johnson is survived by her daughter, Linda Johnson (spouse, Tara) of Wolcott; brothers, Bruce Boyle (Barbara) and Gary Boyle of Florida; two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Walter (Dewey) Boyle; and sisters, Joan Shaughnessy and Elaine Plain Roberge.
Calling hours are Friday, Oct. 17 from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. in St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Ave., Milford. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
