NORWALK, Conn. – Arthur Allen “Bud” Cooksey, of Las Vegas and formerly of Norwalk, died Thursday, Dec. 10. He was 86.
Cooksey was born Oct. 30, 1929, to James and Helen (nee Reuther) Cooksey in Chicago's South Side, graduating from the University of Illinois in 1951.
He worked for the audit staff of Price Waterhouse, spent 20 years with Ford Motor Co. in the United States and England, and moved to Stamford to work for Celanese Corp., spending time with the company's Canadian arm before retiring to Greenwich in 1987.
Cooksey moved to Pagosa Springs, Colo., in 1992 and settled in Nevada in 1999.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother James and his first wife, Joann (nee Tilroe).
Cooksey is survived by his third wife, Margaret (nee Martinoli); five children, James and his wife Maggie, John and his wife Annie (nee Talmadge) of Hot Springs, Ark.; Jean Cooksey and Rich Atkins of Las Vegas; Kynan of Henderson, Nev.; and Kymie and Adrian Cipri of South Salem, N.Y., and his ex-wife Sandra (nee Fazzini).
All services are private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are welcomed to the Sacred Heart University baseball program in Fairfield.
