Anthony James Federice, 78, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. – Anthony James Federice, Jr., 78, of Norwalk, husband of Valerie Federice, died Tuesday, June 30 after a battle with diabetes and cancer.

Born April 15, 1937, in Stamford, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Rita and Anthony Federice, Sr. A graduate of Stamford High School in 1955, he loved music with a passion and played the drums for great bands such as Tony Coy and Angelo Rubino. He was extremely proud his grandchildren inherited his love of music and enjoyed hearing them play.

Although he was well known for his outstanding work at Sherwin Williams, The Color Source and Brandman’s, he was perhaps best known for his honorable character.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie, of 33 years; a sister and brother-in-law of Fairfield, Connecticut; daughter Nancy Federice and her fiancé, Michael, of San Francisco; his son Gerard Lafferty of Stamford; his son and daughter-in-law Edward and Shannon Lafferty of West Hartford, Connecticut; three grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.

At Federice’s request, services will be private.
