Anderson was born Jan 11, 1922, in Norwalk, to Carl A. and Anna N. (Nelson) Berglund. She graduated from Norwalk High School in 1940. She worked at McLellan Store in South Norwalk for 15 years before becoming a full time homemaker. She was active in the United Covenant Church of Wilton.
Anderson is survived by her children, John H. Anderson Jr. (Debbie) of Fairfield, Karen Murray (Peter) of Milford; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Muriel Berglund and Marion Berglund; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, John Howard Anderson; brothers, Carl and Arthur Berglund; and sisters, Agnes Decker, Josephine Haessig and Ellen Cooper.
Calling hours are Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
