NORWALK, Conn. -- Ann Canavino “Grammy” Kerekes, 96, daughter of the late Michael and Concetta Frate Canavino, died July 30, 2015 with her family by her side.
Born Oct. 17, 1918, in New Canaan, she was a lifelong Norwalk resident who most recently lived with her daughter in Seymour.
She was the wife of the late Albert Kerekes and mother to Diane (Vincent) Carrano of Woodbridge, Donna (Brian) Geraghty of Seymour, Thomas Kerekes of Andover; sister of the late Louise Racanello, Marie Baron, Viola Gallo and Anthony, Nicholas and Louis Canavino; proud grandmother of Michelle (Jason) Geoghan, Gary (Mamie) Carella, Jessica (Brendan) Grant, Michael, Matthew, Eric Carrano and Kit Kerekes.
She also is survived by her great-grandchildren Erin, Toriana, Cole and Seth Geoghan, Taylor Carella, Luke and Gabriel Grant.
Friends may call from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthews Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery.
