NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk resident Angelina Ann Forlivio Nicastro passed away Monday, Feb. 16. She was 97.
Nicastro was born to the late Ottavio and Adeline Franco Forlivio on Aug. 3, 1917, in New Canaan.
She is survived by her sisters Mary Monaco of Stamford, and Helen McConnell of New Canaan.
Although she had no children of her own, Nicastro is also survived by her neice Karen Cossuto Fraser of Fort Worth, Texas, her husband, Christopher and their three children Kyle, Connor and Cameron. She is also survived by her nephew Thomas Paul Cossuto of Alpharetta, Ga., wife Maeve and their three children, Thomas, Daniel and Rose; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Nicastro was predeceased by her husband, Charles Nicastro; brothers Ottavio, James and John Forlivio; and sisters Paula (Polly) and Maragaret (Maggie) Nicastro, Frances Russo, Louise Thompson and Josie Cossuto.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Feb. 24, from 10-11 a.m. at the Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk.
Following services, Angelina will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charles, in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave., Norwalk.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Philip Church, 1 Father Conlon Place, Norwalk.
