NORWALK, Conn. - Angelina Buono Mattera of Norwalk died Tuesday, Feb. 4. She was 80.
Mattera was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Norwalk; daughter of Frank and Raffaela Taliercio Buono, She was a lifelong Norwalk resident.
She worked for the Perkin Elmer Corp. and worked part time at the Notre Dame School Sisters Motherhouse. She was a member of the Notre Dame Convalescent Home Guild, St. Ann Club Auxiliary, and St. Jerome Parish.
Mattera is survived by her husband, Angelo Mattera; brother, Anthony Buono (Bridget) of Norwalk, and nieces, nephews and family in Italy. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Patrick; sister, Frances Buono; and niece, Linda Buono McCallum.
Calling hours are Friday, Feb. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, Feb. 8, at 10 a.m. in St. Jerome Church. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.
