Anastasios Arapidis, 78, Longtime Norwalk Resident

NORWALK, Conn. – Anastasios Arapidis of Norwalk died Sept. 30 at home. He was 78. 

He was born June 1, 1934, in Greece to Konstantinos and Sophia Christoforides Arapidis. A 35-year resident of Norwalk, Arapidis retired from Pepperidge Farm. 

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Anatoli; three daughters, Sofia Arapidis, Fotini Papadopoulos and Dina Sarris; a sister, Athina Tsaparakis; a son-in-law, Lazaros Papadopoulos; and four grandsons and a great-grandson. 

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home in Norwalk. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Norwalk. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
