Amelia Rotunda, 88, Of Norwalk

NORWALK, Conn. - Amelia “Molly” Rotunda of Norwalk died Friday, May 3. She was 88.

Rotunda was born May 30, 1924, in New York City, daughter of Gaetano and Carmela Starace Copplola, and has lived locally since 1958. She worked for several years with her husband at his business, Blacer Corporation, and was a long time member of St. Mary Church and the Columbiettes.

Rotunda is survived by daughters, Diane Ferri (Raffael) of Beverly, Mass., and Carol Ann DiCesare of New Milford; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Emerigo “Sonny” Rotunda; son-in-law, Jack DiCesare; and siblings Louis and George Coppola and Rose Cuomo.

Calling hours are Tuesday, May 7 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, May 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 669 West Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.
