Allen Hoyt, 68, Norwalk Draftsman

NORWALK, Conn. – Allen Hoyt of Norwalk died Oct. 13 at his home surrounded by family. He was 68. 

Born Feb. 20, 1944, in Stamford, he was the son of Catherine Cherry Frederick and the late Howard J. Hoyt. He was married to Deborah Hersey Hoyt for 31 years. A draftsman and designer in the aerospace industry, Hoyt worked for B.A.E. in Yonkers, N.Y.

He enjoyed spending time at his farm in New Hampshire, riding quads and being in the company of his sons. 

Hoyt is survived by his wife; two sons, Travis and Cody Hoyt, of Norwalk; his mother; a sister, Candyce Hoyt, of Stamford; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services have not been announced. Magner Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Home Care, 1 Park St., Norwalk, CT 06851.
